Rev. David C. Southern Memorial Scholarship
Rev. David Southern became a licensed minister at Robinhood Road Baptist Church in Winston-Salem in 1977 and was ordained at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Angier in 1982. He served in pastoral ministry for eighteen years until his death on October 20, 1995.
In 2006, his family created this scholarship in his memory for an eligible high school senior who feels called toward full-time Christian service. The scholarship fund is administered through Enon Baptist Church.
Applications are due to the Rev. David C. Southern Memorial Scholarship Committee by April 1. An applicant interview is required. A minimum $300 award is sent to the college after proof of enrollment; priority is given to seniors who are Enon Baptist Church members, though non-members may also apply.
